cable_pricing_nov_2017_WEB

The year 2020 has been an unpredictable, unprecedented and extremely volatile year for business in Australia. The effects of COVID-19 has been felt across multiple industries and has especially had a great effect on commodity prices.

Cable manufacturers’ have seen an effective increase of approximately 25% in their AUD cost for Copper over the last year. They have also had significant rises in related insulation and sheath materials, as well as shipping and freight costs.

During the pandemic, and with all the challenges and uncertainty being faced, we have tried our very best to keep our pricing stable. It has now reached a point where this is no longer possible and we must, regrettably, raise our prices. Most other cable suppliers have had incremental rises already.

Effective 4th January, 2021, there will be a price increase on all FireSense TPS & Fire Rated Cables.

What does this mean for you?

  • Red TPS Cable and FR Detection cable pricing will increase by 10%
  • Class 2 FR Multicore Power Cables up to 6mm² will increase by 10%
  • Class 6 FR Multicore Power Cables >=10mm² will be quoted on a project basis
  • With only a few weeks remaining in December, all cable orders placed in December for a FIRM January 2021 delivery (or prior) will be honoured at the current rates.
